Surprise Parcel

Good evening

Hope you are having a good week so far.  At least we are more than half way through - only two days until the weekend J

Today I have a Christmas card to share with you.  My husband went into shock when I told him I had made a Christmas card - especially as it's only June!!  Unfortunately, not for lack of trying, I never seem to be organised for Christmas.  Every year I have good intentions but find myself  finishing cards on the last posting date.  But this year will be different - or that's the plan.

Anyway enough waffling here's the card.

The image is from Forever Friends (sorry, I don't know what it's called - it came as part of a set) and has been coloured with Copics. To replicate the fur on his hat I used glitter and glossy accents on the bobble to give it some dimension.

I have matted the image using Spellbinder Nestibilities (Circle and Lacey Circles).   The papers are from K and Company.

A Holly Vine die by Memory Box has been used to create the holly border and small red pearls have been added to replicate the berries.

I would like to enter the following challenge:

Play Time Bears

Hi there

Don’t Mondays come around quickly – too quickly for me.

My card today features the stamp Birthday Bumps by LOTV.  Don’t the little bears look like they are having fun!

The image has been coloured with Copic pens, with a small touch of pencil.  The sky background has been created using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink by Tim Holts.  The papers are Daydream by First Edition.

I bought the flowers from the Hobby House at the Stamp Magic Craft Show in Doncaster.  The ribbon I have had for ages.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Emma Rose Garden

Hello

Well it's certainly not been gardening weather lately.  Our roses have been battered with the rain and wind we had on Friday and Saturday last week.

I have taken inspiration from two challenges for today's card - Lili's Little Fairies (In the Garden) and Papertake Weekly (3, 2, 1).

I used Emma Rose Garden by LOTV which I coloured using Copic pens.

Nitwits Digi Paper 'Grinnbearit' was used for the background paper and I've used a Cheery Lynn Die 'Queen Anne's Lace' for the border.
The gorgeous flowers are from the Hobby House and Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from my stash which I coloured to match the image.  The sentiment is by LOTV.

Papertake Weekly Challenge - 3, 2, 1 (3 Sweetheart blossoms; 2 Ribbons and 1 image)

Happy Father's Day

Good morning

I’m fortunate to have the day off work today, so hopefully I will be able to catch up with a few things.  One thing on my ‘To Do’ list is to buy Father Day presents.  I don’t know about you but I always find buying gifts for men difficult!

It’s the same when I have to make male cards – inspiration always seems to disappear or the finished card looks bare and lacking something.

Thank goodness for LOTV.  Their stamp “Cheers Bear” solves the problem perfectly.

Copics were used to colour the image which I then cut out using Nestibilities (Rectangle and Scalloped Rectangle).

The other die is a Sizzix Tim Holts Alterations Die (Plaque & Postage).  The papers are by My Minds Eye and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

Card Candi and Button Twine have been used to embellish the card.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly Challenge : Anything Goes (optional extra card for Father's Day or for a man/boy)

Tilda with Flower

Hi there

Hope you are enjoying this Saturday afternoon or should I say evening.  Doesn't the time fly when you are crafting.

For today's card I decided to ink up 'Tilda with Daisy' which I coloured with Copics and a touch of pencil. The trim on her dress was given the glitter treatment.

The paper is Vintage Rose Bouquet Crackle by Making Memories. I just love this paper and wish I had bought two sheets - what's the betting that you can't get it now as I have had it for while.

The flowers (roses, carnation and aster daisy) and small silver filigree corner are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The pearls are from Mei Flower.

I would like to enter the card into the following challenges:

Wild Orchrid Crafts : Week 51 - Bingo (Lilac, Glitter (on trim of dress and rose) and Pearls)
Simon Says Stamp : Add Crowns and/or Gems (I added lots of pearl gems).

That's it from me.  Tomorrow I'm off to Doncaster for the Stamp Magic Show.

Thank you for all your comments - they are very much appreciated.

Good evening

Well today has certainly been miserable - wet, misty and dull all day.  Hope its been a litter better where you are.

Anyway I'll shut up moaning about the weather and show you today's card.  The card is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and this week it's a CASE IT challenge.

I've used the stamp 'Just Buzzin' By!' which has been coloured with Copic Pens and a touch of pencil.  The papers are from the First Edition Paper Pad 'New Leaf'.

The sentiment is by Whimsy Stamps 'Friendship Ticket Sentiments'.

Fancy a Cupcake

Hi there

Well that's another Bank Holiday weekend over.  It's back to work for me tomorrow while my hubby and son get to spend the day together - I feel a little sorry for myself  L.

Today's card has been made for my Aunt's birthday and here it is.

She's not really into cute images, but Lots of Cupcakes by LOTV was perfect.  I have coloured the image with Copic pens with a little prisma pencil then die cut the image using a Nestabilities die.  The background paper is Bumbleberry Cottage by Nitwits.

The doily was made using a Cherry Lynn die.  Embellishments include flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts (Cherry Blossom and Aster Daisy), Rhinestones and Ribbon.  The sentiment is also from LOTV (Set 20 - Sentiments For Her).

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Lili's Little Fairies - Anything Goes

Make a Wish

Good evening

Hope you have been enjoying the Jubliee Celebrations.  I've just finished watching the Jubliee Concert whilst cardmaking.

Today's card features an image by Wee Stamps (Dandelion Girl) - isn't she gorgeous.

I have coloured her with Copic pens and prisma pencils.  For the layout I have followed the sketch over at the Papertake Weekly Challenge.

The papers are by Nitwits (Promises) and the sentiment is by LOTV.  I have finished off the card by adding a couple of roses (Wild Orchid Crafts).

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Sketch #68
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

That's it from me.  Hope you enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday.

Black and White Magic

Hi there

Well it seems that the lovely sunny weather has disappeared and it's back to grey skies - hopefully not forever.

This week's challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is Monochrome Magic and I have chosen Black and White.

The image is from 'It's Your Day' Transparent set and has been coloured with Copic pens.  The balloon has also  been subjected to a little glitter.  I love using glitter to make things sparkle, unfortunately I usually end up sparkling too!!

The papers are from the Capsule Collection by Docrafts Papermania.  The appature effect has been created using Spellbinder Nestabilities.  The birthday sentiment I have had for ages, but re-discovered them the other day.  Flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts.
I would like to enter the following challenge:

Penny Black Saturday Challenge : Week 203 - Monochrome Magic

That's all from me, I hope you all have a good weekend - for some of us it's an extra long one.
