Ribbon, Lace and/or Twine over at Di's Digi Designs

Hello

Perhaps the title of this post should read "Better Late Than Never" as it should have been published yesterday, but life here has been a little hectic!  We are currently in the process of decorating one of our bedrooms and it just so happens to be the bedroom that I have a small craft area in.  This has meant that I've had to pack up all my craft supplies and temporarily re-house all over the house (basically anywhere these is a space!!).  On top of this I've had to work late most nights this week so it's left little time for crafting or blogging!! Anyhow, I better get on with why I'm posting.

It is time for a new challenge over at Di's Digi Designs and this fortnight the theme is

Ribbon, Lace and/or Twine

I've used the super cute Stitch for You which is available from Di's Digi Stamps which I coloured with Copic pens.

Birthday Roses

Hello

I'm just popping by to share the birthday card I made for my Mother-in-Law's birthday.

The image is from a set of rub-ons which I bought ages ago, but as my Mother-in-Law loves her garden and flowers I thought it was perfectly fitting.

Using a ZIG Two Way Glue Pen I edged the card with glitter.  In real life it gives the card a lovely sparkling effect. Rhinestones were added around the image and in two of the corners.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed using WOW Metallic Silver Super Fine Embossing Powder.

Image : Flowers of the Month Textured Rub-Ons (Creata Crafts)
Paper : Always and Forever Solids (LOTV)
Sentiment : Set 20 - For Her Sentiments (LOTV)
Dies : Double Scallop Doily Die (Whimsy); Heart Swirl (Magnolia Doohickey)
Embellishments : 20mm, 15mm & 10mm  Roses (Wild Orchid Crafts); Radiant Glitter (Stamps by Chloe); Lace, Velvet Ribbon, Rhinestones & Butterfly Charm (My Craft Stash)

I would like to enter the following challenges:

In the Pink : Make It Sparkle
Fab n Funky : Anything Goes
As You Like It : Favourite Shape or Standard Cardbase (I've made a few shaped cards, but my favourite and usual card base is a 6 x 6 square.  I find it is the perfect size for the images/die cuts I want to use).

Thank you for stopping by and for you lovely comments, they are much appreciated.

Anything With Wings over at Di's Digi Designs

Hello

It seems ages since I posted on my blog but these last few weeks have just flown by.

Last week my son got his A Level results and he did extremely well and was accepted by his first choice University (Newcastle) to study Architecture.  We were so proud of him and a little relieved that things has worked out how he had hoped.  We are now getting ready to celebrate his 18th birthday on Bank Holiday Monday.  He didn't want a party so we are going out with family to a local restaurant on Monday evening then later next week he is meeting up with friends for a meal.

Anyhow enough of my waffling as its time for a new challenge over at Di's Digi Designs and this week we want to see Anything With Wings (eg. butterflies, fairies etc.).  For my DT card I used Mouse with Love

The image has been coloured with Copic pens.

Birthday Flowers

Hello

Hope you are having a good weekend whatever you are up to.  We went out today for Sunday lunch which was a very nice treat and later I'm hoping to do some crafting and hopefully get ahead with some DT cards.

I made this card earlier this week, but only got around to photographing it today.

The image is Armfuls of Daisies from LOTV which I've coloured with Copic pens then fussy cut out. To give the illusion that the bunny's tail is fluffy I used a mixture of flower soft and fun flock.  Daffodil Liquid Pearls has been used in the centre of the flowers.

Image : Armfuls of Daisies (LOTV - Retired)
Paper : Butterfly Kisses (LOTV - Retired)
Sentiment : Happy Birthday (Tina Wenkle)
Dies/Punches : Joy Die (6002/0480); Small Butterfly (Tonic)
Embellishments : Lace, Velvet Ribbon and Pearls (My Craft Box)
Medium : Copic Pens and Liquid Pearls

Crafty Sentiments : Animals
In the Pink : Challenge #99 - Get Out Your Rubber
Penny Black and More : Anything Goes with a Stamp
A Gem of a Challenge : Challenge #147 - Animals
The Cutie Pie Challenge : Polka Dots and Pastels
As You Like It Challenge : Favourite Papers (I love lots of papers, but one of my favourites is LOTV/Nitwits.  I love the designs and that all the papers in the pads co-ordinate beautifully so well together.)

Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments.
