Happy Holidays over at Di's Digi Desigsn

Hello

Firstly I have to apologise to Di and the rest of the design team for my late DT Post for this week's challenge.  I thought I had scheduled my post but it appears not to have been the case!!  I usually check to ensure scheduled posts have posted, but I didn't get a chance on Saturday and we were away on Sunday as we travelled down and stayed overnight in Birmingham to attend the Sports Personality of the Year Awards at the Genting Arena which was great.

Anyway as the saying goes - better late than never!

There is a new challenge over at Di's Digi Designs and this fortnight the theme is

Happy Holidays (any Winter Holiday)

I've used the super cute Three Chilly Penguins which is available from Di's Digi Stamps which I coloured  with Copic pens.

It's Christmas in July over at Di's Digi Designs

Hello

It is time for a new challenge over at Di's Digi Designs and this fortnight the theme is:

Christmas in July

I've used the super cute Holly Mice which is available from Di's Digi Stamps

I coloured the image with my favourite colouring medium, Copic pens and paper pierced the jumpers on the little mice.  To give the illusion of fir I put a few drops of blending solution onto a small piece of towel and light pressed this over the mice.  Along the edges of the matts I've add glitter to give a little sparkle, other than that I've kept the layout fairly CAS.

Paper : Classic Christmas (LOTV) - Discontinued
Sentiment : Card-io Sentiment
Embellishments : Pearls (Meri Flower) and Viva Pearl Pen

I would like to enter the following challenges:

As You Like It Challenge : Favourite Marker, Ink or Pencils - I'm trying different mediums - eg. Inktense Pencils and Re-inkers, but I do love my Copics.  I love the shading effects you can achieve with them and the more I practice the better I'm getting, but I do still have a long way to go.

Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments.  Please hop over to Di's Digi DesignsChallenge to see the fabulous inspiration from the design team.

Winter Wishes to You

Hello

We have a new challenge starting today over on the Sugar Nellie blog and the theme for this month is anything goes as long as you use an image from Funky Kits, which is the home of Sugar Nellie.

For my DT card I've used Warm Winter Wishes which you can find here.

Since we are half way through the year I thought I had better get some Christmas cards made because if the second half goes as quickly as the first half it will be Christmas before we know it.  I coloured the image using Inktense Pencils and added a mixture of fun flock/flower soft to the fir trim and bobble on his hat.  The snowflakes were die cut then covered with glitter and a rhinestone added to the centre.

Image : Warm Winter Wishes (Funky Kits)
Paper : Flurry (Echo Park)
Dies : Rectangle and Rectangle Scallop (Spellbinder); Holiday Words - Script (Tim Holtz by Sizzix); Snowflakes (Impression Obsession)
Embellishments : Rhinestones

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Christmas at Sweet Stampin : Warm Winter Clothing
Christmas Card Challenge : #30 - Anything Goes
FabnFunky Challenge : #311 - Christmas

Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comment.
