Lavish Lilies

Hello

I can't believe that it has been three months since I last posted a card on my blog.  There have been a few changes to how blogger looks too - hopefully you are seeing this!!

I've got a very simple card to share today using the stunning Lavish Lilies stamp from My Favourite Things.

The image is so beautiful that I kept the card very clean and simple.  I stamped the image onto white card suitable for alcohol markers and coloured it with Copic markers.  I then matted this onto black card leaving a very narrow boarder.  This was then mounted, with form tape to give dimension, onto a white card base.  The sentiment (Bitty Birthday Wishes by My Favourite Things) was stamped onto black card and heat embossed with Opaque White Super Fine Embossing Powder (WOW).  The only embellishment I added were a few jewels from the Ice Cube Mix (Little Things from Lucy's Cards).

Copies Used

Happy 21st!

Hello

Just popping in with a card I made recently for a friend's 21st birthday.  The image is from a Lili of the Valley Art Pad which I fuzzy cut out and place next to the sentiment.

I added pearls to every other scallop around the sentiment and in opposite corners of the card.  Ribbon and a bow were added towards the bottom of the card.  It's a very clean and simple design, but I really like it.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you had a lovely Christmas.

For Mum or a Special Lady over at Di's Digi Designs

Hello

It is time for a new challenge over at Di's Digi Designs and this fortnight the theme is

For Mum or a Special Lady

I've used the super cute Teddy Daisy which is available from Di's Digi Stamps. The image has been coloured with Copic Alcohol Markers.

I went with a very CAS layout which shows off Di's super cute image.  I took a square piece of smooth card and added a little bit of a background using the distress inks.   I stamped the sentiment in the top left corner.  The image was fussy cut out and added on top of the background using foam pads to give it some dimension.  Doodlebug Spinkles were added randomly to finish of the card.  I hope you like it.

Sentiment : You're My Favourite (Whimsy Stamps)
Colour Medium : Copic Alcohol Markers, Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn and Tumbled Glass (Ranger)
Embellishments : Doodlebug Sprinkles

Happy Mail!

Hello

A birthday card featuring Harry The Stuffie certainly fits the happy mail criteria for me!

The image is of course from Stamping Bella and has been coloured with Copic pens.  I attempted the sponge dipped in colourless blender technique on his fur to give the illusion of texture.

Butterfly Arch

Hello

It's a colleagues birthday this week and I made this card for her.   For a change I decided to dig out my heat gun and some embossing powder.

The stamp and matching die are called Butterfly Arch by Stamps by Chloe.  The die has been designed to coordinate with the stamp and to cut the butterflies out whilst leaving the centre in the card to allow the wings to be lifted to create a fabulous 3D effect.

The sentiment is from the Butterfly Birthday Verse stamp, but I only used the bottom section.

Sentiment : Butterfly Birthday Verse (Stamps by Chloe)
Embellishments - Crystals (Stamps by Chloe)

Birthday Roses

Hello

I'm just popping by to share the birthday card I made for my Mother-in-Law's birthday.

The image is from a set of rub-ons which I bought ages ago, but as my Mother-in-Law loves her garden and flowers I thought it was perfectly fitting.

Using a ZIG Two Way Glue Pen I edged the card with glitter.  In real life it gives the card a lovely sparkling effect. Rhinestones were added around the image and in two of the corners.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed using WOW Metallic Silver Super Fine Embossing Powder.

Image : Flowers of the Month Textured Rub-Ons (Creata Crafts)
Paper : Always and Forever Solids (LOTV)
Sentiment : Set 20 - For Her Sentiments (LOTV)
Dies : Double Scallop Doily Die (Whimsy); Heart Swirl (Magnolia Doohickey)
Embellishments : 20mm, 15mm & 10mm  Roses (Wild Orchid Crafts); Radiant Glitter (Stamps by Chloe); Lace, Velvet Ribbon, Rhinestones & Butterfly Charm (My Craft Stash)

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Birthday Flowers

Hello

Hope you are having a good weekend whatever you are up to.  We went out today for Sunday lunch which was a very nice treat and later I'm hoping to do some crafting and hopefully get ahead with some DT cards.

I made this card earlier this week, but only got around to photographing it today.

The image is Armfuls of Daisies from LOTV which I've coloured with Copic pens then fussy cut out. To give the illusion that the bunny's tail is fluffy I used a mixture of flower soft and fun flock.  Daffodil Liquid Pearls has been used in the centre of the flowers.

Image : Armfuls of Daisies (LOTV - Retired)
Paper : Butterfly Kisses (LOTV - Retired)
Sentiment : Happy Birthday (Tina Wenkle)
Dies/Punches : Joy Die (6002/0480); Small Butterfly (Tonic)

Story Teller

Hello

We have a new challenge starting today over at Sugar Nellie and the theme for this month is anything goes as long as you use an image or stamp sold by Funky Kits, which is the home of Sugar Nellie.

For my DT card I've used Story Teller which you can find here.  I usually use a 6" x 6" card base, but for this card I've used a 7" x 7" card base for a change.  I quite like the result and will have to make more.

I coloured the image with Copic pens then cut her out and positioned her, slightly raised, in the bottom left corner.  Her wings have been given a generous coating of glitter (not very visible in the photo - sorry!).

Image : Story Teller (Funky Kits)
Medium : Copic Pens; Opaque White Paint (for the Toad Stools); Crystal Transparent Glitter (for her Wings)
Paper : Timeless Victorian (LOTV)

Cupcake Anyone?

Hello

I think the little lady in the image is having a difficult time choosing a cupcake!  The image is an older one by LOTV, not sure if its still available.

The image has been coloured with Copic Pens and I've added Wink of Stella to the underskirt and to the icing on the cupcakes to give a little sparkle (apologies it is not clear in the photo - I blame the bad photographer!!)

Sentiment : Set 24 - Sentiment Tags
