Good morning

It's Friday which means it's time for a new challenge over at Winter Wonderland and this week the theme is:

Red and Green Must Not Be Seen
(We are looking for Christmas projects in any colours you like,
except for Red and Green)

This week we have two fabulous sponsors (so two chances to win!)

Our first sponsor is Pink Gem Designs - the winner will receive three digi images

The second sponsor is Ladybug Crafts Ink - the winner will receive two cling stamps

My DT card this week features a digi image from Pink Gem Designs.

The image is called 'Nativity Philip' and you can find him here.  I've used Copic pens to colour the image.

The stars and letters were cut from white card using my Cricut machine and George and Basic Shapes cartridge.  I then passed them through a Xyron label maker and covered them with glitter.

Advent

Good evening

This is a quick post to show you something a little different.

I don't know about you but I love anything to do with Christmas and an Advent calander is still a part of our Christmas preparations, even though my son is now a teenager!!  This year I decided to have a go at making my own and here it is:

The papers are "Little Mittens" by Nitwits.  The little bells have been stiched onto the little drawers.  The figures on the top are also from the "Little Mitten" kit which I printed onto card and cut out and fixed to the top.  Flower soft has been sprinkled around the figures as snow.

I enjoyed doing this project as it was something different from cards and my son was quite pleased with the result.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge : Week 183 - Advent
Totally Papercrafts : Challenge #145 - Anything Christmasy but a Card

I'm off to bed now otherwise I won't be getting up in the morning for work.

Happy Halloween

Hello

Since it's Halloween tomorrow I thought I would do a Halloween themed card.

Now I don't have many Halloween images, in fact this is the only Halloween image that I own and I have to thank Lorraine Bailey for bringing it to my attention.  I first saw it on her blog (Mrs B's Blog) a few week's ago and fell in love with it - isn't it just so cute.

The image is from Di's Digital Downloads and it's called Mummy Bear.  I've coloured the image with Copic pens.  The papers are "Can I be Frank" by Nitwits.

I've kept the embellishments very minimal - just some ribbon and pearls from my craft stash.  The three little pumpkins are part of the paper kit.  I just re-sized them and cut them out.  The sentiment is computer generated and cut out using "Tab 1" die by Whimsy.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Di's Digi Designs Challenge : Anything Halloween
Totally Papercrafts : Challenge 140 - Spooky Halloween
Ladybug Crafts : Challenge 2 - Halloween
Cute Card Thursday : Challenge 240 - Something Scary
Moving Along With The Times : Too Cute to Spook

Thank you for visiting and for all your lovely comments - they are very much appreciated.

Thank You Take Two

Hello

Isn't it typical, the weather here today has been gorgeous and where have I been - at work!

I'm back with another thank you card.  This time I've used two of the images from Present Trio by LOTV.

The images have been coloured using Copic pens and then cut and matted with my Spellbinders Nestibilities.  The paper is Hoppyhearts by Nitwits.

The edges have been distressed (well my attempt at distressing) using Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Faded Jeans.  I'm not very good at distressing, its out of my comfort zone.  I think I am too heavy handed and usually end up with a mess!! This is one of my better attempts the others ended up in the bin.

The sentiment is from LOTV which has been stamped onto a Whimsy die cut.   The flowers are sweetheart blossoms from Wild Orchrid Crafts.

I would like to entre the following challenges:

Lili's Little Fairies : Anything but a Square
J & C Creations Challenge : August Challenge - Something a Little Different
Allsorts Challenge : Week 170 - Anything but Square

That's all from me.  Thanks for looking and for any comments that you leave - they are much appreciated.

Building a Snowman

Good evening

Mr Sunshine appears to have disappeared again, hopefully not for too long!  I hope we get some decent weather for the Olympics.  Husband and son are off to St James' Park tomorrow to watch two Olympic football matches - I hope it doesn't rain.

Today's card is another Christmas Card and features the cute image "Build a Snowman" by LOTV.

I've coloured the image with Copic pens with a touch of prisma pencil and added glitter to the fir trim on the coat, hat and boots as well as the edges (think I got a bit carried away with the glitter!!).
The paper is "Little Mittens" from Nitwits Collection.  The die in the corner is called "Snowflake Corner" and is by Memory Box.  The ribbon, rhinestones and snowflake button are from my craft stash.  The sentiment is also from LOTV "Set 26 - Simply Sophisticated".

I would like to enter the following challenge:

Winter Wonderland - Pink, Purple, Aqua, Green

Hope the rest of the week is good for you.  Thank you for visiting and for the lovely comments you leave - I really do appreciate them.

The papers are Petal Fresh by Nitwit Collections.

I have coloured the image with Copic pens and followed the Papertake Weekly Challenge sketch for the layout.

The papers are from the Nitwit Collection - Gratitude.  The flowers and metal corner are from Wild Orchid Craft and the metal butterfly is from my craft stash.  I have also added a metal brad in the middle of the chrysanthemum.

Emma Rose Garden

Hello

Well it's certainly not been gardening weather lately.  Our roses have been battered with the rain and wind we had on Friday and Saturday last week.

I have taken inspiration from two challenges for today's card - Lili's Little Fairies (In the Garden) and Papertake Weekly (3, 2, 1).

I used Emma Rose Garden by LOTV which I coloured using Copic pens.

Nitwits Digi Paper 'Grinnbearit' was used for the background paper and I've used a Cheery Lynn Die 'Queen Anne's Lace' for the border.
The gorgeous flowers are from the Hobby House and Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from my stash which I coloured to match the image.  The sentiment is by LOTV.
I would like to enter the following challenges:

Lili's Little Fairies Challenge - In the Garden
Papertake Weekly Challenge - 3, 2, 1 (3 Sweetheart blossoms; 2 Ribbons and 1 image)

Thank you for visiting and for your comments.

Fancy a Cupcake

Hi there

Well that's another Bank Holiday weekend over.  It's back to work for me tomorrow while my hubby and son get to spend the day together - I feel a little sorry for myself  L.

Today's card has been made for my Aunt's birthday and here it is.

She's not really into cute images, but Lots of Cupcakes by LOTV was perfect.  I have coloured the image with Copic pens with a little prisma pencil then die cut the image using a Nestabilities die.  The background paper is Bumbleberry Cottage by Nitwits.

The doily was made using a Cherry Lynn die.  Embellishments include flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts (Cherry Blossom and Aster Daisy), Rhinestones and Ribbon.  The sentiment is also from LOTV (Set 20 - Sentiments For Her).

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Lili's Little Fairies - Anything Goes
Secret Crafter - Anything Goes

Hope you have been enjoying the Jubliee Celebrations.  I've just finished watching the Jubliee Concert whilst cardmaking.

I have coloured her with Copic pens and prisma pencils.  For the layout I have followed the sketch over at the Papertake Weekly Challenge.

The papers are by Nitwits (Promises) and the sentiment is by LOTV.  I have finished off the card by adding a couple of roses (Wild Orchid Crafts).

Good evening folks

Hope you are all well.  Hasn't the weather been lovely - I could get used to blue skies and sun.

Today's card is for the Lili's Little Fairies Challenge.  The theme this week is Anything but a Square and I have attempted a Diamond Spring Card and here it is:

I have used the image Party Girl by LOTV which has been coloured with Copic pens with a touch of prima pencils.  The paper is by Nitwits (Bumbleberry Cottage).

The card has been embellished with flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts.  The ribbon and pearls are from my craft stash and the crown and small heart on the balloon have had the glitter treatment!

Milly and Friend

Hello

Well that's Sunday and the weekend over again!  I hope you have all had a good weekend.  We  had family over for Sunday lunch then the 'boys' (by that I mean my husband, son and Dad) watched the football match which involved quite a bit of shouting at the TV screen!!

I finally finished the card I started yesterday.  The image is one of the LOTV girl stamps 'Milly Me and My Dog' (isn't that dog soo cute!).  I coloured the image with Copic pens and attempted to do a sky background, for which I have to thank Bev Rochester for the inspiration and technique.   (A video tutorial showing how to create this effect is available on Bev's blog 'All the Things I Love').   For a first attempt it's so so, but more practice is needed me thinks!!

The fence is a Magnolia die and the branch is a Sizzix die.  The blossom flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the background paper is from Nitwits.

I would like to enter this card into the Lili's Little Fairies Challenge - Your Favourite Craft Tool (Big Shot).

Hope you have a good week.

It's Raining Daisies

Good Afternoon

Firstly apologies for my lack of posting and blogging, but I have suffered a family breavement.

Today's card features one of my favourites images from Penny Black called "Rainin' Daisies".  Unfortunately the daisies in my garden have been rather battered lately with all the rain we have had.

I followed the Case It Challenge over at the Penny Black Saturday Challenge for the style and layout of the card.  The image has been coloured using Copic pens and the papers are from Nitwits "Fairy Tale Too".  The sentiment is one of the new LOTV sentiment stamps.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Case-It Challenge
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Cute Cute Cute

Dainty Dancer

Hi there

Well today sees the beginning of May and I hope we have better weather than we have had over the last few weeks.

Today's card is for the challenge over at Lili's Little Fairies.   The challenge this week was to follow a sketch by Jacqui and here is my attempt:

The gorgeous image is Dainty Dancer by LOTV and she has been coloured with Copic pens.

The papers are Gratitude by Nitwits.

Embellishments include seam binding from the Ribbon Girl, rose and gypsophila from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Rhinestones, brad and spacer are from my craft stash and the cute charm I picked up at Harrogate earlier this year.

I would like to enter this card into Lili's Little Fairies : Sketch by Jacqui

Spring has Sprung

Hi there

Hope you have enjoyed your weekend - even if it has been a bit wet!!  It was dry here yesterday and we even had a bit of sun and blue sky but today it was back to grey sky and heavy showers.

To make up for the lack of spring weather I decided to ink up "Spring has Sprung" from Stampavie.  Is that dog cute or what - just look at those eyes.

I coloured the image with Copic pens and followed the sketch by Dawny P which is featured on this week's Papertake Weekly Challenge.

The background papers are by Nitwits - Hoppy Hearts.  The flowers I made by punching two flower shapes in vellum, sticking them together and putting card candy in the middle.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Sketch #67
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes
Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - Challenge 130, Anything Goes

Hope you have a good week and thanks for looking.

Patchwork Prescent

Good afternoon

Hope everyone has enjoyed the long Easter weekend.  I didn't do anything special, but I did spend time with my family and found some time to craft.  As I am on holiday for the rest of this week I hope to find more time to have a few more crafty sessions!!

For today's card I have used one of the cute images from the latest release from LOTV called Patchwork Present.  I just love this little bear.

The image has been coloured with Copic pens (Bear E53, E51, E50; Present BV01, BV00, BV000, BV000, YG61, B01) and cut out and matted using Spellbinders Nestabilities Dies (rectangle and rectangle scallop).  The papers are Promises by Nitwit.  A Marianne Die (Labels) has been used to cut out the small tag which slots behind the main image and the 'happy birthday' sentiment is a rub-on.  The border die is a Magnolia Doohickey Die (Tilda Lace).

The Hydrangea petals, button and ribbon are from my craft stash.

I would like to enter this card into two challenges:
