Fussy and Fancy over at Winter Wonderland

Good morning

Today is the last Friday before the big man in the red suit pays a visit and hopefully everyone is more organised than me!!

Over at the Winter Wonderland Challenge blog we have a brand new challenge and as it's our last challenge for 2014 it will last for two weeks.  The theme is:

Fussy and Fancy

This is the start of the period where you don't have to make a Christmas card/project to enter our challenge although you can if you so desire.

For my card I've used Away in a Manger from LOTV which has been coloured with Copic pens.  The sentiment is also from LOTV and is from Set 75, Christmas Wishes.

The papers are from the Silent Night Paper Pad by First Edition.  The border is a Magnolia Die and the star is a Memory Box die which has been covered with glitter.  The edges of the paper have also been glittered, although you can't really see it in the photo.  The rhinestones and ribbon is from my craft box.

We have four great prizes on offer from our sponsors so there is no excuse not to enter.
£10 Voucher from the The Hobby House

£10 Voucher from Wild Orchid

£10 Voucher for Crafter's Companion

Pick and Mix at Winter Wonderland

Good morning

Hope everyone is well and for those that aren't feeling a 100% I hope you are feeling better soon.

Before I show you my DT card can I apologise for my lack of posting and bloging.  My father was taken into hospital suddenly and things have been somewhat hectic trying to juggle work and visiting.

Anyhow back to the reason for today's post.  As it's Friday we have a brand new challenge starting over at Winter Wonderland and this week the theme is:

Pick and Mix
(We want you to choose three different embellishments from the following list - brads, pearls, gems, ribbon, lace, pins, snowflakes and flowers.  Please list which three you have used and remember Christmas projects only.)

I have used one of our sponsor's images - Are You Really My Friend by The Paper Shelter.

The image has been coloured with Copic pens with glitter added to his hat and fir trim.  My chosen embellishment were Pearls, Ribbon and Flowers.

Image : Are You Really My Friend (The Paper Shelter)

Penguins

Good evening

First can I apologise for being a bad blogger these last few weeks.  Unfortunately at the moment work and general life is leaving very little time for crafting etc.

Anyway a few week's ago Squirrel launched the GREAT PENGUIN CHALLENGE OF 2014 and this was one challenge my son said I had to enter.  (Since he was a baby he has loved penguins.)  I have one of two (okay maybe more!!) penguin images so it was a difficult decision to pick an image to use.  In the end I decided to use one of my newest stamps.

I've used Penguin Pals by LOTV which was coloured with Copic pens.  The papers are from the Frosty Christmas Paper Pad  and the sentiment is from the Christmas Sentiments Set (Set 32) also by LOTV.

The snowflakes are Martha Stewart punches and the pom pom trim is from the Ribbon Girl. Pearls and ribbon are from my craft box.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Squirrel's World of Craft : The Great Penguin Challenge of 2014
Papertake Weekly : Oh How Cute
Cute Card Thursday : Dies and/or Punches
ABC Christmas Challenge : S for Something Festive
Lili of the Valley Monthly Challenge : Pretty Papers

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your lovely comments.

Scandinavian Style at Winter Wonderland

Good morning

Wow get me, a post two days running.  Today I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge over at Winter Wonderland and this week the theme is:

Scandinavian Style
(we want to see reindeer, hearts, snowflakes, red and white)

Now this is a different style of card for me - not a stamp or digi image in site!  The paper is Nordic Christmas  from First Edition and the scalloped circle is a Spellbinder's die.  The deer is from Deer Trio Die by Memory box.  The snow effect was created by dapping Snow-Tex onto a piece of card.

The sentiment is from Set 35 - Christmas Handwritten Phrases by LOTV and the ribbon and rhinestones are from my craft box.

This week we are being sponsored by Oyster Paper Crafts who are offering the winner a £10 voucher

Anything Goes For Christmas at Winter Wonderland

Good morning

As today's Friday it means that it's time for a brand new challenge over at Winter Wonderland and this week we are having a slight change.  Due to a number of the design team having holidays we have decided to run this challenge for four weeks (ending 5.00 pm on Thursday 28th August) and we have a nice easy theme for you:

Anything Goes for Christmas
(eg. Projects, Decorations, Tags, Card etc.,
but please remember Christmas Projects Only)

For today's card I've used an image from one of our sponsors - Poinsettia Corner by Delicious Doodles.

The image has been coloured with Copic pens and I've gone over the poinsettia leaves with a Clear Wink of Stella pen to add a faint sparkle.  The image has been printed and coloured three times so I could 3D the poinsettia.  Glossy Accents have been added to the berries and Liquid Pearls added around the image.  The paper is from Papermania (At Christmas Time).
The sentiment is one of the new LOTV sentiments (Set 75, Christmas Wishes) which I picked up at the Summer Crafting craft show in Doncaster.

As this challenges runs for four weeks we have six generous sponsors

Crafts U Love - a £10 Voucher for one lucky winner

Crafty Sentiments Designs A £10 Voucher for one lucky winner

Delicious Doodles - 4 Digi image for one lucky winner

Stamp and Create with a Voucher for one lucky winner
