Love and Kisses

Hi there

Hope you have had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend.  I’ve been off work this week and I cannot believe how quickly it has flown over (its back to work on Monday – err!!).

I came across the Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog a few weeks ago and loved what I saw.  The theme for this week’s challenge was Love and Kisses and here is my effort.

I used the stamp Hello Present, which was one of the first Penny Black Stamps I bought.  It has been coloured using Copic pens and cut out and matted using Spellbinder Nestabilities.  The papers are Nitwit Digi Papers – Grin ‘n Bear it.

The only embellishments used are some heart shaped rhinestones which I have had in my stash for years.

Love You

Apologies for not posting for a while – it’s been a bit mad here lately and I haven’t had any time to make cards.  Things have now settled down and I have managed to find time to make a card for this week’s Lili’s Little Fairies Challenge – Jacques Valentines Sketch.

For the challenge you had to follow a sketch (below) which had been designed by Jacque

and here is my attempt.

I cut the heart shape from Bazzil Card using my Cricut and embossed it with a textured Impression Embossing Folder by Sizzix.  This was then teamed with papers from the First Edition Paper Pad - Love Letters.

The image Teddy Romeo from LOTV has been coloured with Copic pens and cut out using a Spellbinders Nestabilities.  The sentiment comes as part of the stamp.

Embellishments include: Trellis Rose (35mm); Rose buds (4mm) and Cherry Blossoms all from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The leaves were punched using a Martha Stewart punch (Frond).

Creature Comforts

Hi there

What better way to spend a very chilly snowy night than crafting in front of the telly, warm and cosy.

I have made the following card to enter into the Wild Orchid Challenge – Creature Comforts in which you needed to include some sort of creature/insect/animal on your card.  It’s a long time since I used a Penny Black stamp but Just Buzzin’ By fitted the bill perfectly, as it features both an animal and an inset!!

The image has been coloured using Copic pens and the daisy flower given the glitter and decoupage treatment (although the photo doesn't show it very well).  Spellbinders Nestabilities have been used to matt the image onto papers from the Papermania Capsule Collection by Docrafts.

A few embellishments have been added – seam binding, Chrysanthemum flower and small silver filigree metal corner - all from Wild Orchid Crafts.
