Spring has Sprung

Hi there

Hope you have enjoyed your weekend - even if it has been a bit wet!!  It was dry here yesterday and we even had a bit of sun and blue sky but today it was back to grey sky and heavy showers.

To make up for the lack of spring weather I decided to ink up "Spring has Sprung" from Stampavie.  Is that dog cute or what - just look at those eyes.

I coloured the image with Copic pens and followed the sketch by Dawny P which is featured on this week's Papertake Weekly Challenge.

The background papers are by Nitwits - Hoppy Hearts.  The flowers I made by punching two flower shapes in vellum, sticking them together and putting card candy in the middle.

Hope you have a good week and thanks for looking.

Mr & Mrs

Good morning

A colleague at work is getting married next week so it was a good excuse to use the 'Mr & Mrs' Stamp from LOTV.

I've coloured the image with Copic pens and added glitter to her veil.  Small pearls have been added to the scalloped mat surrounding the image and diamond hearts have been added to the corners.

The border is a Cherry Lynn Die (Queen Anne's Lace) and the rose are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I'd like to enter this card into the Lili's Little Fairies Challenge - Diamonds & Pearls.

Anyone fancy a Picnic?

Hi there

Hope everyone has had a good weekend and the weather didn't spoilt it.

Today's card features a Sarah Kay image "Picnics of Daisies".  Now when I was colouring the image I was imagining a lovely summers day with not a cloud in sight - a bit different from the weather this weekend!

The image has been coloured with Copic pens and matted onto papers from First Edition "Spring Drop" following the sketch by Dawny P the feature of this week's Simon Says Stamp Challenge.  I have embellished the card with stitching and by adding a few flowers from Wild Orchrid Craft.

Take care and have a good week.

April Showers

Good evening

Hope everyone is OK and looking forward to the week ahead.  Things are back to normal in our household with everyone either back to work or school.

My card tonight features April Mouse (with umbrella) from the Happy Days collection by Cute Companions.   It's been a while since I used this stamp, but I thought the image fitted well with this weeks themes over at the Papertake Weekly Challenge and Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

The image has been coloured with Copic pens and matted onto Isabelle paper by First Edition.  The branch is a Sizzix die.  I have added glossy accents to the rain drops, but the photo doesn't really show them off.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Hope you all have a good week and thanks for the comments - much appreciated.

Wee Fairy

Hi there

It's Thursday already, I cannot believe how quickly this week has gone - my week's holiday is almost over - L.

I did manage to get a card finished last night and here it is:

The gorgeous image is ‘Silver Fairy’ by Wee Stamps and she has been coloured in with Copic pens (Skin - E21, E00, E000, E000, R20; Hair – E25, E23, E50; Dress – B93, B91, BG70).  For the wings I have used lashings of glitter (DecoArt Glamour Dust) to make them sparkle.  The paper is from Up, Up, Away by First Edition.

I have embellished the card with some lovely flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts (30mm Wild Rose, 4mm Rosebuds, Cherry Blossoms and Aster Daisy).

The Seam binding and filigree silver corner are also by Wild Orchid Crafts and the border is by Memory Box.

I would like to enter this card into the Wild Orchid Craft Challenge - Things with Wings

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.

Patchwork Prescent

Good afternoon

Hope everyone has enjoyed the long Easter weekend.  I didn't do anything special, but I did spend time with my family and found some time to craft.  As I am on holiday for the rest of this week I hope to find more time to have a few more crafty sessions!!

For today's card I have used one of the cute images from the latest release from LOTV called Patchwork Present.  I just love this little bear.

The image has been coloured with Copic pens (Bear E53, E51, E50; Present BV01, BV00, BV000, BV000, YG61, B01) and cut out and matted using Spellbinders Nestabilities Dies (rectangle and rectangle scallop).  The papers are Promises by Nitwit.  A Marianne Die (Labels) has been used to cut out the small tag which slots behind the main image and the 'happy birthday' sentiment is a rub-on.  The border die is a Magnolia Doohickey Die (Tilda Lace).

The Hydrangea petals, button and ribbon are from my craft stash.

I would like to enter this card into two challenges:

Birthday Wishes

Good evening,

Happy Easter - hope you have had a good Easter Sunday and you haven't overdone the chocolate (although I don't think you can ever have too much chocolate!!).  I've had a good day as my son returned from his school ski trip - oh how I have missed him even though he has only been gone a week.  The house just seemed too quiet without him - if you know what I mean.

Anyway onto today's card which features Christmas Tilda.  No I haven't decided to start making Christmas cards just yet, but perhaps I should judging by how quickly this year seems to be going - can't believe it's Easter already.  I thought it would be a shame just to keep this image for Christmas as it could be used for other occasions - eg. birthdays.

The image has been coloured using copic pens and layed onto papers from the Sweet Owl collection by Frist Edition.  The small flower arrangement contains Cherry Blossom, Aster Daisy, Sweetheart Blossoms and 4mm rosebuds all available from Wild Orchid Crafts

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Hope you enjoy what's left of this Easter Sunday.

You don't bring me flowers

Good afternoon

Hope you are enjoying this 'Good Friday', particularly if you have the day off work.

The card I would like to share with you today is for this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge where the theme is Sing-a-Long.  You had to use either a music based image or choose a favourite song to feature as the theme for your project.  I went with song and choose 'You don't bring me flowers' which was a duet by Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond many years ago and is a favourite of my Mams.

I have used Penny Black's Hedgehog bouquet stamp which I coloured with copic pens.  The papers are by Nitwits and have been matted onto Bazzil card stock.  The border punch is by Martha Stewart and the Chrysanthmum flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The rhinestones were originally white, but I coloured them using copic pens to match the image.

I would like to enter this card into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Week 195 (Sing-a-Long).

Many thanks for looking.

Anything Goes and a Sketch

Hello

Hope everyone had a good weekend.  Mine consisted of two very different days.  Saturday was busier then usual as I had to get things ready for my son's school ski trip to Tignes in France and Sunday seemed long - it could be because I was up at 5.00 am to get him to the airport.  Felt sorry for any passengers on the Easy Jet flight to Geneva yesterday morning - what with 57 excited pupils and six members of school staff!!

Anyway onto my card for today.  I have used Emma Plant Pot by LOTV which has been coloured with Copics - tried to stay away from pinks or purples for a change.  I have used the sketch on the Papertake Weekly Challenge site for the layout.  The papers are 'Daydream' by First Edition and the border punch is a Martha Stewart punch.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Hope everyone has a good week and avoids the snow!!
