Birthday Flowers

Hello

Hope you are having a good weekend whatever you are up to.  We went out today for Sunday lunch which was a very nice treat and later I'm hoping to do some crafting and hopefully get ahead with some DT cards.

I made this card earlier this week, but only got around to photographing it today.

The image is Armfuls of Daisies from LOTV which I've coloured with Copic pens then fussy cut out. To give the illusion that the bunny's tail is fluffy I used a mixture of flower soft and fun flock.  Daffodil Liquid Pearls has been used in the centre of the flowers.

Image : Armfuls of Daisies (LOTV - Retired)
Paper : Butterfly Kisses (LOTV - Retired)
Sentiment : Happy Birthday (Tina Wenkle)
Dies/Punches : Joy Die (6002/0480); Small Butterfly (Tonic)
Embellishments : Lace, Velvet Ribbon and Pearls (My Craft Box)
Medium : Copic Pens and Liquid Pearls

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Crafty Sentiments : Animals
In the Pink : Challenge #99 - Get Out Your Rubber
Penny Black and More : Anything Goes with a Stamp
A Gem of a Challenge : Challenge #147 - Animals
The Cutie Pie Challenge : Polka Dots and Pastels
As You Like It Challenge : Favourite Papers (I love lots of papers, but one of my favourites is LOTV/Nitwits.  I love the designs and that all the papers in the pads co-ordinate beautifully so well together.)

Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments.

Story Teller

Hello

We have a new challenge starting today over at Sugar Nellie and the theme for this month is anything goes as long as you use an image or stamp sold by Funky Kits, which is the home of Sugar Nellie.

For my DT card I've used Story Teller which you can find here.  I usually use a 6" x 6" card base, but for this card I've used a 7" x 7" card base for a change.  I quite like the result and will have to make more.

I coloured the image with Copic pens then cut her out and positioned her, slightly raised, in the bottom left corner.  Her wings have been given a generous coating of glitter (not very visible in the photo - sorry!).

Image : Story Teller (Funky Kits)
Medium : Copic Pens; Opaque White Paint (for the Toad Stools); Crystal Transparent Glitter (for her Wings)
Paper : Timeless Victorian (LOTV)
Sentiment : Set 98 - Sketchy Wishes (LOTV)
Dies : Joy Die (6002/0480); Corner Bow Die (Memory Box)
Embellishments : Cherry Blossom, Roses (Wild Orchard Crafts); Ribbon & Rhinestones (My Craft Box)

I would like to enter the following challenges:

It's Christmas in July over at Di's Digi Designs

Hello

It is time for a new challenge over at Di's Digi Designs and this fortnight the theme is:

Christmas in July

I've used the super cute Holly Mice which is available from Di's Digi Stamps

I coloured the image with my favourite colouring medium, Copic pens and paper pierced the jumpers on the little mice.  To give the illusion of fir I put a few drops of blending solution onto a small piece of towel and light pressed this over the mice.  Along the edges of the matts I've add glitter to give a little sparkle, other than that I've kept the layout fairly CAS.

Image : Holly Mice (Di's Digi Stamps)
Paper : Classic Christmas (LOTV) - Discontinued
Sentiment : Card-io Sentiment
Embellishments : Pearls (Meri Flower) and Viva Pearl Pen

I would like to enter the following challenges:

As You Like It Challenge : Favourite Marker, Ink or Pencils - I'm trying different mediums - eg. Inktense Pencils and Re-inkers, but I do love my Copics.  I love the shading effects you can achieve with them and the more I practice the better I'm getting, but I do still have a long way to go.

Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments.  Please hop over to Di's Digi DesignsChallenge to see the fabulous inspiration from the design team.
