Snow Joy

Good evening

I have another Christmas card to share with you tonight.  This one was really simple and quick to make, which is good as I am so behind with my cards.

The image is from Penny Black and is called "Snow Joy".  The little hedgehog looks like he's having fun playing with the snowball.

Copic pens and glitter has been used to colour the image.  Snowflakes were randomly stamped, using versamark ink and embossing powder (sticky stuff), around the image and covered with glitter (sorry the photo doesn't really show them, but trust me they're there).

Image : Snow Joy (Penny Black) and
Medium : Copics
Sentiment : Set 35, Christmas Handwritten Phrases (LOTV)

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly : Snow White

Pretty Little Ribbon : Challenge #17 - It's Christmas

I'm off now to write the cards I have completed to get them in the post.

Advent

Good evening

This is a quick post to show you something a little different.

I don't know about you but I love anything to do with Christmas and an Advent calander is still a part of our Christmas preparations, even though my son is now a teenager!!  This year I decided to have a go at making my own and here it is:

The papers are "Little Mittens" by Nitwits.  The little bells have been stiched onto the little drawers.  The figures on the top are also from the "Little Mitten" kit which I printed onto card and cut out and fixed to the top.  Flower soft has been sprinkled around the figures as snow.

I enjoyed doing this project as it was something different from cards and my son was quite pleased with the result.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge : Week 183 - Advent
Totally Papercrafts : Challenge #145 - Anything Christmasy but a Card

I'm off to bed now otherwise I won't be getting up in the morning for work.

Big Star

Hi there

Hope you have enjoyed your Sunday, but hasn't it been chilly today?  It's the kind of day where you want to stay indoors, nice and warm and craft and that's exactly what I've been doing.

I'm still making Christmas cards and here's my latest creation.

I've used the image 'Big Star' from LOTV which has been coloured with Copic pens.  The star and the edge of the background paper has been given the glitter treatment.  The trim on his hat and bobble have been sprinkled with flower soft.

Image - Big Star (LOTV)
Sentiment - Set 5 Christmas Circular Sentiments (LOTV)
Medium - Copic Pens
Background Papers - Had for ages but I think are from the Crystal Collection by Bella Press

Happy Halloween

Hello

Since it's Halloween tomorrow I thought I would do a Halloween themed card.

Now I don't have many Halloween images, in fact this is the only Halloween image that I own and I have to thank Lorraine Bailey for bringing it to my attention.  I first saw it on her blog (Mrs B's Blog) a few week's ago and fell in love with it - isn't it just so cute.

The image is from Di's Digital Downloads and it's called Mummy Bear.  I've coloured the image with Copic pens.  The papers are "Can I be Frank" by Nitwits.

I've kept the embellishments very minimal - just some ribbon and pearls from my craft stash.  The three little pumpkins are part of the paper kit.  I just re-sized them and cut them out.  The sentiment is computer generated and cut out using "Tab 1" die by Whimsy.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Di's Digi Designs Challenge : Anything Halloween
Totally Papercrafts : Challenge 140 - Spooky Halloween
Ladybug Crafts : Challenge 2 - Halloween
Cute Card Thursday : Challenge 240 - Something Scary
Moving Along With The Times : Too Cute to Spook

Thank you for visiting and for all your lovely comments - they are very much appreciated.

Snowy & Hedgy

Hello there

I hope everyone had a good weekend.  I had a fab one.  My hubby and son had tickets for the Manchester City v Swansea Football match on Saturday.  As the match was in Manchester he suggested that on the way down we could stop off in Leeds and I could visit the Lili of the Valley shop.  Well I took that offer up in a flash, particularly as they were having an Open Day.

The shop was fab - full of lovely goodies and I treated myself to one or two purchases - well I couldn't resit could I!

Anyway enough of my waffling onto my card which features a Penny Black image "Snowy & Hedgy".  I've coloured the image with Copic pens and added fur and glitter.

Bella on Bauble

Hi there

Hope you're having a good day.  Me not so much.  Whilst doing this post I am sitting waiting for a plumber.  Water has started dripping through our kitchen ceiling (could be coming from the bathroom upstairs).  Fortunately I have the day of work today or goodness knows what mess we would have come into tonight!

Anyway onto today's card.

The inspiration for this card has been taken from the Winter Wonderland Challenge.  Their theme this week is a photo inspiration (see here) and I've used the colour, the bauble and the white christmas tree.

The image is from Wild Rose Studio and has been coloured with Copic markers.  The stars on the bauble have been glittered and for the fur on Bella's hat I've used glossy accents and "hairy" glitter to give it some definition.

Image : Bella on Bauble (Wild Rose Studio)
Papers : Xmas Bella (Wild Rose Studio) & Bazzil Cardstock
Dies : Tree (Sizzix), Labels 8 (Spellbinder Nestibilities)
Ribbon & Rhinestones : from my craft stash

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Winter Wonderland Challenge : Photo Inspirations
J & C Creations Challenge : Contemporary Christmas
Cute Card Thursday : Challenge 239 - Got Glitter

Well that's it from me.  I hope the rest of your day is good and thank you for all your comments.  I really do appreciate them.
