Oh Boy

Hello

The challenge over at Lili’s Little Fairies this week is Oh Boy (a Masculine Card).  Now I don’t know about you but I always seem to struggle to make cards for men or boys – one reason could be that I don’t have many stamps suitable for men!!

For my card I used the LOTV stamp ‘No.7 Bear’ which was coloured using Copic pens.  I have tried to create a monochromatic theme by keeping to black, white and shapes of grey.  I have had the papers for ages so apologies I don’t know what they are called or where I got them.

Embellishments have been kept fairly plain.  The colour of the raffia lace was lemon but I coloured it black to fit in with the colour scheme.  The buttons and football shirt charm are from my stash.  The sentiment is from ‘Set 19 – For Him Sentiments’ by LOTV.

I am entering the card into the following challenge:

Tilda with Balloon

Good morning

For today’s card I have attempted a Stepper Card.  The image is Tilda with Balloon from the Magnolia You Are So Special collection.  I’ve used Copic pens to colour her (Skin – E11, 00, 000, 0000; Hair – E29, 25, 23, 50; Dress – R81, RV000, 0000; Balloon – B01, B00, 000, 0000).  Glossy Accents has been added to the Balloon and the frill on the dress, together with her socks, has been glittered.

The paper is a digi kit from Nitwits Collections - Little Mittens.  The sentiment is a rub-on transfer which has been put onto an oval shape cut from a nestie.  Embellishments include ribbon from the blue-mini ribbon kit from the Ribbon Girl and the flowers are Sweetheart Blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Have a great weekend.

Lavender and Lace

Hi there

It’s Challenge 3 over at Lili’s Little Fairies and the theme this week is Lavender & Lace.

I often use ribbon on my cards but this is the first time I have used lace – and I quite like the result.  The image is New Hat by LOTV and I have coloured the image using Copics then matted it onto a Nestabilities shape – Lacey Circles.

The papers are Fairytale Too from Nitwits and the Lace, Hellebores and Aster Daisies are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:

Hello Cupcake

Good evening

This week’s challenge over at Lilis Little Fairies is ‘Your Favourite Lili of the Valley Stamp’.  Now choosing which LOTV stamp is my favourite proved rather difficult as I love them all.  After a long debate and a few changes of mind (well it is a woman’s prerogative!) I decided on Hello Cupcake which I coloured with Copics.

The papers are Patty Cake Paisley and Baby Blue Check by Flair Designs - not sure if they are still available as I have had them a while.  Other embellishments used are flowers (Cherry Blossom, Roses and Rosebuds) from Wild Orchid Crafts; white Organza ribbon which I coloured with my copics to match the design.  The brad, charm and rhinestones are from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Challenge 1 - New Beginnings

This is the first challenge from Lili’s Little Fairies.  A very suitable title as today I would like to share my very first card that I have entered into a challenge with you.  I have never had a blog nor entered any challenges before so I have no idea what I am doing so please bear with me - hopefully I will improve.

My card is one I have made for a colleague at work who is getting married at the end of the month.

Card Recipe:

Image - LOTV die cut
Paper - Nitwits Collection (Fairytaletoo).
Flowers – Roses and Gypsophila from Wild Orchard Crafts
Ribbon, Bell and Brad – from my stash

Sorry about the photo but I'm not that good at photography.

That's it for now.
